Request Time Off

Time Off Is Unpaid

Muse & Co hires part-time employees and does not provide paid time off (PTO). Time-off requests tell management when you need to be away from work; approval does not create paid hours or a PTO balance.

Submitting a Request

  1. Go to My Schedule on staff.ncmuse.co
  2. On mobile, tap Time Off in the bottom bar. On desktop, find the Time Off card in the sidebar.
  3. Tap New Request
  4. Fill in:
    • Type: Choose the appropriate non-PTO category, such as Sick Leave, Personal, or Unpaid. Do not select PTO.
    • Start date: First day off
    • End date: Last day off
    • Hours: How many hours you're requesting
    • Reason (optional): e.g., "Doctor appointment"
  5. Tap Submit Request

Request Statuses

StatusMeaning
Pending (amber)Waiting for manager approval
Approved (green)Approved — you're good to go!
Denied (red)Not approved — talk to your manager

No PTO Balance

Part-time employees do not accrue or receive PTO. Any balance or PTO option shown by the scheduling software does not represent an available Muse & Co benefit. If the portal displays something confusing, ask management before submitting the request.

One-Off Day Blocks

For quick "I can't work this day" blocks (not formal time off), use the Availability feature instead — see Block Time / Availability.

WARNING

Submitting a time off request does NOT automatically block your schedule. Your manager reviews and approves requests, then adjusts the schedule accordingly.
